Do you not give me memories of skipping about,
picking Dandelions in the field,
and waving the hat in the wind?
Is it not you who gives me recollections of building sandcastles,
and running in the surf,
while the sun shot rays across the water.
You bring back the thoughts of
love and sisterhood.
Together we walked under the Beeches,
racing to the rides,
as if we were taking on life itself.
A lesson you gave us, of appreciation for goodness,
beauty and the height of joy.
A lesson fastened in our minds
for every year to come.
